It’s time to remove the stigma. Epilepsy can come on at any age but there is a greater prevalence in the over 60’s. It can affect any gender and ethnicity; with around 45,000 diagnosed people in New Zealand. Did you know there are over 40 different seizure types and sometimes these can go undiagnosed? This session will explain how an epileptic seizure happens; what causes them and what they may look like. If you fancy finding out more and seeing if you can put a medical brain together or perhaps meet up with a metre tall Purple Neuron, come along and meet up with Anna from Epilepsy New Zealand.
