Farewell old Magnolias

In early May 2023 we farewelled two old magnolia trees in the Italian Garden.

The trees had previously stood sentinel either side of a path the Sisters used when walking from the old convent to the hospital.

Sadly, the magnolias were becoming unsafe, so they had to go.

However, there is a silver lining – more light into the garden and onto the newly painted garden seat!
