Reflection:

Midst the busyness of Christmas preparations, let us take time to ponder prayerfully the birth of Jesus. The Gospel tells us the King of Heaven and Earth, the Messiah was born in a cave in Bethlehem.  How Mary his mother must have wondered what would become of her child.

 The angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds and they were terrified, but the angel said “Do not be afraid I bring you news of great joy.  Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”  From Luke chapter 2.
