Reflection:

Mary Potter writes – ‘the brightness of the sun and the light of God’s love’ give us daily hope and courage.  When Jesus began his public ministry St Matthew tells us it was like a great light for the people who had been living in darkness.

John 8:12 captures Jesus’ powerful declaration: “I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
