Little Company of Mary Around The World:

Community Centre Talk – A Short History of Fashion During WWII

On Monday 4 August 2025, from 1.30pm-2.30pm

Speaker: Bianca Duncan, Air Force Museum of New Zealand

This presentation explores the dramatic effect WWII had on the way Kiwis dressed,

as rationing and ‘make-do and mend’ became everyday practices.

Take a closer look at service caps, jackets, wedding dresses, pockets, and more,

as we show you photos and uniform pieces from the Air Force Museum collection.

Cuppa to follow.

All ages welcome and bring a friend.
